Immagini di neonati con relativo cartellino del prezzo attaccato al polso esistono solo nelle fantasie di chi forse non ha mai rinunciato all'idea di un mercato dei bambini possibilmente piccoli e bianchi.
In realtà, l’età media dei bambini che entrano in adozione internazionale è di circa 8 anni. Di questi, la maggior parte è costituita da minori con special needs. Adozioni internazionali: nel giro di due anni, in Italia è arrivata quasi la metà dei bambini. Se nel 2019 i minori adottati nel nostro Paese dall’estero erano 969, nel 2021 sono scesi a 563, ovvero 406 in meno. È quanto emerge dal Rapporto della Cai (Commissione adozioni internazionali della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri) diffuso il 13 gennaio. Poco consola il risicato aumento rispetto al 2020, quando le autorizzazioni all’ingresso toccarono il minimo storico di 526. La pandemia “uccide” anche le adozioni, già in forte sofferenza. Basti pensare che, nel 2010, erano stati ben 4.130 i bambini di origine straniera accolti. Come si spiega il tracollo
